This course is designed to help your organization better respond in violent situations involving an armed threat. The goals and objectives of this course provide employees with information and strategies on recognizing and responding to the dynamic challenges and issues of violent incidents within the workplace. Here’s something important to remember. The concepts and models presented in this course can be used in any situation – regardless of location – businesses, factories, hospitals, schools, government buildings, places of worship, universities and public spaces.

A workplace inspection is a planned critical examination of a workplace or a specific area within a workplace. The purpose of regularly scheduled workplace inspections is to prevent incidents by identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions. In this course, you will learn how to plan and conduct efficient workplace inspections. Run time: 30 minutes

Workplace safety is a shared responsibility between employers and their employees. Under the General Duty Clause, (Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act of 1970,) OSHA requires the employer to provide a safe environment for their employees. However, each employee needs to be aware of the potential hazards they may be exposed to when performing construction work, take action to avoid or eliminate them, and report hazards/unsafe conditions as they arise. This program is designed to provide learners with a high-level overview of a number of construction safety topics and safety rules to comply with OSHA standards. Specifically, the safety orientation training covers an introduction to generic safe work practices, various worksite arrangements, the safe use of tools and equipment, and procedures for what to do in the event an emergency occurs. This course shows you how to take proper precautions to prevent contact with and infection from bloodborne pathogens (BBP), and the steps to take after potential exposure to BBP. Bloodborne pathogens such as HIV, HBV and others can pose a serious health threat to employees in a wide range of occupations. This course includes important information from OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen standard to equip workers with general prevention practices to prevent exposure and transmission of BBP. You will learn the requirements of an exposure control plan and your responsibilities as an employee when you encounter a blood spill. This OSHA-compliant course provides essential safety training for employees to prevent and reduce exposure to BBP.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, more commonly known as CPR, saves many lives each year. In this course, you'll learn how to perform CPR properly. We'll discuss each step in order, explaining how to perform chest compressions and how to check the victim’s airway and breathing. We'll go into detail about proper positioning for each step, clearly explaining why having the victim’s body angled correctly can be crucial to the success of your technique. In addition, we'll provide helpful scenarios to test your knowledge of how the technique is applied in the real world. We'll also teach you when and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to reestablish a regular heartbeat. We’ve come to depend on electricity in nearly every aspect of our lives, which is why it’s more important than ever to use safe practices to prevent electrical accidents – which can be fatal – from happening. Designed for employees who use electricity or work near electrical sources, this course provides you with the knowledge you need to prevent electrical accidents in the workplace or at home. In this course, you'll learn the basics of how electricity works, the primary hazards associated with electricity, safety controls and practices to prevent electrical accidents, and how to respond to electrical emergencies including shock or fire. Run time: 17 minutes

Focusing on the fundamentals of first aid, this course discusses your responsibilities as a first responder, and provides helpful advice on how to assess and respond to emergency situations. Beginning with the basics, you’ll review the definition and goals of first aid and review various legal and ethical issues, including one’s duty to act and obtaining consent. Moving on, you’ll learn the 3 main steps you should take when responding to an emergency. You’ll then explore ways of evaluating a victim’s mental state and injuries, and learn how to best assist an injured person until medical help arrives. Here you’ll learn what to do if someone is unconscious, whether you should move or repositioned an injured person, and how to assist someone experiencing shock. Presented with clear and easy-to-understand instructions, this first aid course will improve your understanding of when and how to respond to a first aid emergency. Run time: 26 minutes
